Verification of a two-step code system MCS/RAST-F to fast reactor core analysis

RAST-F is a new full-core analysis code based on the two-step approach that couples multi-group cross-section generation Monte-Carlo MCS and nodal diffusion solver. To demonstrate feasibility of using MCS/RAST-F for fast reactor analysis, this paper presents coupled verification results MET-1000 CAR-3600 benchmark cores. Three different calculation schemes are employed to improve agreement between reference solutions. The solution obtained by continuous-energy nuclear data. Additionally, verified with generated collision probability TULIP. A good observed less than 120 pcm discrepancy in k eff 1.2% root-mean-square error power distribution. This study confirms as reliable tool three-dimensional simulation cores spectrum.
